اَلسَّلََمُ عَلَيْكُ م
Dear parents, As the world finds itself in the grips of an unseen enemy, we firstly pray that the Almighty protects us all from this virus and otherworldly calamities. At Nizamiye Primary and High School, our commitment to provide a world-class educational experience continues to be a priority.
With this in mind, the management and educators of Nizamiye Primary and High School are pleased to announce that starting this Wednesday, the 1st of April 2020, teachers will be uploading revision notes, videos and worksheets to Google Classroom. What is this you may ask? Google Classroom is a free web service, developed by Google for schools, that aims to simplify creating, distributing, and assessing assignments in a paperless way. The primary purpose of Google Classroom is to streamline the process of sharing files between teachers and students.
Each student will be provided with a Nizamiye email address that will be used for the student to sign in to his or her classroom. Students will then have access to the information provided by the teacher, download the necessary work, and continue learning from home.
We will also be making use of an app called Zoom Cloud Meeting to create a virtual classroom where our teachers will conduct lessons with our students. A timetable will be sent out to indicate when these lessons will take place. The teacher will send out a link to the student’s email address which will allow the student access to the virtual classroom.
Fear not… an instructional video explaining how to use both Google Classroom and Zoom will be emailed to all parents. This is uncharted territory for all of us but we are confident, that with your help we can make this work.
